Samsung Galaxy A80

Samsung revealed its full screen smartphone, without a notch!

Samsung released its new Galaxy S series in february (S10, S10 Plus and S10e)  in february, and all of them had a camera on the front in an island like hole on the screen. In the Samsung A80 they made it in another way, a way which is unique in the industry.

The design hasn’t changed a lot, it’s like other Samsung phones with a metal frame, glass back, speaker on the bottom, and NO headphone Jack….. Samsung solved the selfie camera problem with a rotating photography system, the top back of the phone rises with the cameras and than, the “camera island” rotates 180 degrees (it is will be done after pressing the selfie button). So basically the rear cameras are your front ones as well, so there is no compromise in terms of quality. The fingerprint reader is placed under the display, just as like the S10 series, but no information if it is an optical or ultrasonic one, but probably the later.

On the front you can find a 6.7 inches Fully! Infinity Full-HD+ SuperAMOLED display, with 1080×2400 pixels (393ppi). Of course as a Samsung Display is bright, sharp and colorful, as well a little bit oversaturated but you can adjust it in the settings.

Well, the a series has also meant good camera performance and mid range hardware, so does it now. The Samsung A80 got a 8nm Snapdragon 730, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB ROM. There is only one option, but this configuration is enough for most users. Battery capacity is now 3700mAh, and it also supports 25W fast charging.

Samsungs A80 has a triple camera system on the back, (and on the front if its needed).

The main one is a 48 MP, f/2.0, PDAF camera, which gives you amazingly detailed photos, and selfies as well. There is no other phone with a selfie camera like this.

Secondary component is an 8 MP, f/2.2, 12mm (ultrawide) camera, this one could have a bigger resolution sensor but well, this isn’t a flagship phone and you can also use this for selfies.

Samsungs A80 is not a flagship phone, but it great for selfie enthusiasts. Performance is upper mid-range with a great long lasting battery, fast charging is great and the 48MP main sensor is just simply amazing. However it lacks IP ratings, but for 700 EURO, this phone with this camera performance and beautiful AMOLED display is a really good deal.
