Is it a revolution? You know Samsungs Flagship phones, the Note 9, S9+ and S9, each of them has a main camera lens with variable aperture and the first two also has a secondary lens for 2x optical zoom. But know Samsung went much further, even then the Huawei, they put 4 camera on the back of a phone! (Huawei P20 has 3)
The design is pretty simple, on the back there is the quatro camera system, a fingerprint reader and a Samsung logo. On the bottom a USB Type C and a Jack port, and from the front it’s like an S9 with infinity display of course. The display is a 6.3” FHD+ AMOLED with always on function and beautiful colours. It comes in 3 colour, Caviar Black, Lemonade Blue and Bubblegum Pink.
It didn’t get the newest chipsets, however it still has 6 or 8gb of RAM with at least 128gb ROM and expendability up to 600gb with a 512gb SD card. The battery is 3800mAh with quick charge but no wireless charging, and the processor is a Qualcomm SDM660 Snapdragon 660 (14 nm). Sadly just 2.0 C type port and no IP rating.
This is the main theme for this phone and the most interesting one. We can not say anything yet about the performance until we will test it, but on paper it looks pretty impressive. Video resolutions are 2160p@30fps, 1080p@30fps, and The selfie camera is 24 MP f/2.0.(Let’s see the specs next to the Huawei P20 Pro, which is unbeaten in low light phone photos yet)
ON PAPER it will not beat the P20 Pro nor the Note 9 (only in few cases), but we are waiting for real life tests. The performance is also much lower than both phones, but this phone isn’t about it. It’s a cheaper Samsung phone that has enough performance for everyday life, good battery life, and now a revolutionary camera system which could be really useful in some cases.
